What is my “company's jurisdiction”?

When we talk about your “company’s jurisdiction,” we are referring to the country or state where your company was formed or organized.

As a default, we set the governing law of your equity plan to your company’s organizational jurisdiction. This means that, in the event of a dispute or issue concerning the equity plan, the laws of the country or state where you formed or organized your company would become applicable.

Additionally, the place or venue (e.g., a court or an arbitral tribunal) where these disputes or issues would be resolved could also be based on your company’s jurisdiction.
