What are the risks of using Upstock equity?

Owning equity in any company is a risk. However, Upstock's RSUs minimize this risk. A restricted stock unit is a promise from a company to give employees a share of stock; or in other words, a stock option with a strike price of zero. You, the worker, pay nothing upfront. And as long as the share price remains above zero, your RSUs won’t become worthless.
